Final Blog Post

First of all I would like to say thank you for all of your support with my Blog. Unfortunately This will be my last, as this blog was initially created as a school assignment. However I may continue to post tutorials on my youtube channel (the link will be posted at the bottom of this page).

I must state that i've enjoyed creating these blog posts as it's about something I'm passionate about. Keeping a certain consistency may be difficult to upkeep with but i've learnt that scheduling my posts helps.
Along with teaching others, i've learnt a bit myself while researching different methods.

I would also like to specially thank :

Look Book (Collaboration)

For my second collaboration I’ve collaborated with two other bloggers, Diva Chambers and Gizelle Drue (Bathe 'N' suit) Drue. One does hair and the other blogs about swimsuits. Together we decided to create a look book. This would entail six (6 ) different themes along with three different designs to go along with it. We are all designing our work based on the theme and each other’s work.

Links for their blog spot will be provided below.

List of themes:

      1.     Kaleidoscope
      2.     Hibiscus
      3.     Steel Pan
      4.     D River Lime
      5.     Sunday Funday
      6.     Carnival

  Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope 1 (square pattern)
Designed to represent the beautiful shape of a kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope 2 (blur)

Reflects the way light hits a changing pattern.

Kaleidoscope 3 (pink and colourful)
Represents the changing elements of a kaleidoscope.

Hibiscus

Hibiscus 1 (accent flower and red nails)
Flower designed to represent the traditional Hibiscus of Trinidad and Tobago.
Hibiscus 2 (accent flower and red nails curved design)
Same pattern but with an edgier twist.

Hibiscus 3 (Glitter inspired)

Steel Pan

Steel pan 1 (Gray grunge)
Designed to represent raw steel before all the grinding and final touches.

Steel pan 2 (Musical Notes)
What other way to represent a steel pan than with musical notes.

Steel pan  3 (Glitter inspired)

D River Lime

D River Lime 1 (bamboo)

In Trinidad bamboo is the most commonly thing found at a river side. Why not design bamboo nails?

D River Lime 2 (Water Drops)
After that cold river bath, water droplets always gets stuck on our skin. This design was created to represent that.

D River Lime 3 (fire nails)
As Trinidadians we all like to go to the river and “make a cook” meaning, light a fireside and most times cook lunch. I’ve decided to represent this by create fire nails.

Sunday Funday

Sunday Funday 1 (melting ice cream)
We all love ice-cream, especially on a relaxing Sunday.

Sunday Funday 2 (ice cream)

Going out for ice-cream on a Sunday has become sort of a tradition for some families or couples. The best day to do that is on a relaxing work free Sunday.

Sunday Funday 3 (beach)
No one can say beach on a Sunday like Trinidadians. After Partying late on a Saturday nigh, the beach seems to be the sober up maching. Many families also enjoys the beach on a Sunday.

 Carnival

Carnival 1 (Feather Nails)
Its not Carnival without colourful feathers. It brings out the beauty in the costume.

Carnival 2 (Paint Splatter)
The bright stand out colours. The creativity in the costumes and the colours of our mind. I’ve decided to represent the beautiful colours of Carnival with non other than paint splatter.
